Quantum Communication Award
The International Quantum Communication Award for outstanding achievements in quantum communication research is presented at each QCMC. That award is sponsored by the Tamagawa University.
This year the award winners are:
Gerard Milburn (Australia),
for pioneering theoretical work on quantum information and computation processing.
Masanao Ozawa (Japan),
for contributions to mathematical theories of quantum measurements and quantum computation.
Christopher Fuchs (Canada, USA),
for contributions to theory of quantum communication including quantum state disturbance.
Alexander Lvovsky (Canada, Russia),
for contributions to experimental method for quantum-optical processes on coherent and squeezed states
including homodyne tomography.
In the past, the award winners have been as follows:
• 1996: Charles Bennett, Carl Helstrom, Alexander Holevo, Horace Yuen
